‘We’ll no longer be beholding to China’: Graham announces legislation incentivizing American-made PPE

Last month, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) introduced the U.S. MADE act, which he hopes will be included in the latest coronavirus relief package. If passed, the bill will create a 7.5 billion dollar tax credit for companies that manufacture PPE. Graham hopes this tax credit will relieve US reliance on foreign PPE. “The goal is to have 100% American-made in the strategic stockpile of PPE equipment in the next five years,” Graham said.
